    摘要 Whencharacterizingflowsinminiaturizedchannels,thedeterminationofthedynamiccontactangleisimportant.Bymeasuringthedynamiccontactangle,theflowpropertiesoftheflowingliquidandtheeffectofmaterialpropertiesontheflowcanbecharacterized.Amachinevisionbasedsystemtomeasurethecontactangleoffrontorrearmenisciofamovingliquidplugisdescribedinthisarticle.Inthisresearch,transparentflowchannelsfabricatedonthermoplasticpolymerandsealedwithanadhesivetapeareused.Thetransparencyofthechannelsenablesimagebasedmonitoringandmeasurementofflowvariables,includingthedynamiccontactangle.Itisshownthatthedynamicanglecanbemeasuredfromaliquidflowinachannelusingtheimagebasedmeasurementsystem.AnimageprocessingalgorithmhasbeendevelopedinaMATLAB?environment.Im-agesaretakenusingaCCDcameraandthechannelsareilluminatedusingacustommaderinglight.Twofittingmethods,acircleandtwoparabolas,areexperimentedandtheresultsarecomparedinthemeasurementofthedynamiccontactangles.
