摘要
Aporosity-freeandcontamination-freesurfacelayerwithgrainsizesrangingfromnanometertomicrometerinFesampleswasobtainedbysurfacemechanicalattritiontreatment(SMAT)technique.MechanicalandwearpropertiesofthesurfacelayerintheSMATedandannealedFesamplesweremeasuredbymeansofnanoindentationandnanoscratchtests,respectively.ExperimentalresultsshowedthatthehardnessofthesurfacelayerintheSMATedFesampleincreasedevidentlyduetothegrainrefinement.TheelasticnoduliofthesurfacelayersintheSMATedandannealedFesampleswereunchanged,independentofgrainsizeinthepresentgrainsizeregime.ComparedwiththeoriginalFesample,thewearresistanceenhancedandthecoefficientoffrictiondecreasedinthesurfacelayeroftheSMATedFesample.
