摘要 Thispaperreviewstherecentprogressinthestudiesofexperimentalrockmechanicsandtectonophysicsconcern-ingseismologyandphysicsoftheEarth'sinteriorinChina.Theprogressispresentedinthefollowingaspects:a)Alotofresultsofexperimentandnumericalsimulationenrichourknowledgeofthebrittlefracturingprocessundertheconditionwithheterogeneityinmaterialandstructure;b)Somenewresultsonfrictionalbehaviorofnon-homogeneousfaultsrevealthecomplexityoffaultingbehavior;c)Somenewresultsonthebrittle-plastictran-sitionandplasticflowareobtained;especiallytheimportantprogressisobtainedontheologicalpropertiesofrocksinthelowercrustandtheuppermantle;d)Alotofexperimentalresultsareobtainedonrockphysicsathightem-peratureandpressureandhavebeenusedinstudyofmaterialcompositionandstate.TheseresultsprovideusefulinformationforunderstandingthephysicalpropertiesanddeformationmechanismsofmaterialoftheEarth'sinte-riorandearthquakephysics.
