ThispaperpresentsacomparativestudyofEnglishandChinesewh-questionsandaimsatprovidingexplanationsofdistinctionsbetweenEnglishandChinesewh-questions.ThedifferentfeaturestrengthofthepositionCcausesthedifferentsentencepatternofChineseandEnglishwh-questionsandtheaimistomeettherequirementoffeature-checking.Theovertwhmovementisconstrainedbysomeprinciples.ThenDoChineselearnersofEnglishalsohavethisprincipleintheirmind?Throughtheexperiment,thestudycomparedtheratesofaccuracyoftheChinesegroupandthenativecontrols.
