Wepresentthenumericalresultsfortheoptimizationofthepump-to-idlerconversionefficienciesofnanosecondidlerwavelengthtunablecascadedopticalparametricoscillators(OPO)indifferentwavelengthtuningranges,wheretheprimarysignalsfromtheOPOprocessarerecycledtoenhancethepump-to-idlerconversionefficienciesviathesimultaneousdifferencefrequencygeneration(DFG)processbymonolithicaperiodicallypoled,magnesiumoxidedopedlithiumniobate(APMgLN)crystals.TheAPMgLNcrystalsaredesignedwithdifferentchirpparametersfortheDFGprocesstobroadentheirthermalacceptancebandwidthstodifferentextents.TheidlerwavelengthtuningofthecascadedOPOisrealizedbychangingthetemperatureofthedesignedAPMgLNcrystalandthecascadedoscillationisachievedinasinglepumppasssinglyresonantlinearcavity.Thepump-to-idlerconversionefficiencieswithrespecttothepumppulsedurationandratioofOPOcoefficienttoDFGcoefficientarecalculatedbynumericallysolvingthecoupledwaveequations.TheoptimalworkingconditionsofthetunablecascadedOPOspumpedbypulseswithenergiesof350μJand700μJarecomparedtoobtainthegeneralrulesofoptimization.ItisconcludedthattheoptimizationbecomestheinterplaybetweentheratioofOPOcoefficienttoDFGcoefficientandthepumppulsedurationwhentheidlerwavelengthtuningrangeandthepumppulseenergyarefixed.Besides,higherpumppulseenergyisbeneficialforreachinghigheroptimalpump-to-idlerconversionefficiencyaslongastheAPMgLNcrystalisoptimizedaccordingtothispumpcondition.Tothebestofourknowledge,thisisthefirstnumericalanalysisofidlerwavelengthtunablecascadedOPOsbasedonchirp-assistedAPMgLNcrystals.
