Judging or setting weight steady-state of rational Bézier curves and surfaces

    摘要 ManyworkshaveinvestigatedtheproblemofreparameterizingrationalBéziercurvesorsurfacesviaMbiustransformationtoadjusttheirparametricdistributionaswellasweights,suchthatthemaximalratioofweightsbecomessmallerthatsomealgebraicandcomputationalpropertiesofthecurvesorsurfacescanbeimprovedinaway.However,itisanindicationofveracityandoptimizationofthereparameterizationtodopriortojudgewhetherthemaximalratioofweightsreachesminimum,andverifythenewweightsafterMbiustransformation.What’smoretheusersofcomputeraideddesignsoftwaresmayrequiresomeguidelinesfordesigningrationalBéziercurvesorsurfaceswiththesmallestratioofweights.Inthispaperwepresentthenecessaryandsufficientconditionsthatthemaximalratioofweightsofthecurvesorsurfacesreachesminimumandalsodescribeitbyusingweightssuccinctlyandstraightway.Theweightsbeingsatisfiedtheseconditionsarecalledbeinginthestablestate.Applyingsuchconditions,anygivingrationalBéziercurveorsurfacecanautomaticallybeadjustedtocomeintothestablestatebyCADsystem,thatis,thecurveorsurfacepossessesitsoptimalparametricdistribution.Finally,wegivesomenumericalexamplesfordemonstratingourresultsinimportantapplicationsofjudgingthestablestateofweightsofthecurvesorsurfacesanddesigningrationalBéziersurfaceswithcompactderivativebounds.
