摘要
Themicrowavephotonicfilters(MPFs)basedonseriallycoupledsiliconmicroringresonators(MRRs)aretheoreticallyanalyzedfortheapplicationof60-GHzmillimeterwavewirelesspersonalareanetworks.Thisisachievedbycalculatingtheimprovementofbiterrorratio(BER).Accordingtothesimulationresults,therequirementofsignal-to-noiseratio(SNR)ofthereceiveddatacanbereducedby14dBforthesameBERwithandwithoutMPFs.TheperformanceoftheMPFwithfiveseriallycoupledmicroringstructuresisbetterthanthatoftheMPFwithasinglemicroring,owingtotheimprovementoftheshapefactor.
