摘要
TropicalCyclone(TC)tracksoverthewesternNorthPacific(WNP)during1949–2007,obtainedfromChinaMeteorologicalAdministration/ShanghaiTyphooninstitute,areclassifiedintothreetracktypes.ThesetypesarethemainpathwaysbywhichTCsinfluencethecoastofEastAsia.Therelationshipsbetweenlocalseasurfacetemperature(SST)inWNPandTCtracksarerevealed.ResultsshowthatthelocalSSTplaysanimportantroleinTCtracks,thoughtherelationshipsbetweenlocalSSTandthefrequenciesofdifferentTCtracksareverydissimilar.ThelocalSSThassignificantpositivecorrelationwithnorthwest-pathTCs,andnegativecorrelationwithrecurving-pathTCs.However,thewest-pathTCsdonothavestatisticallysignificantrelationshipwiththelocalSST.TheupperseatemperatureanomalieswhichinfluenceTCtrackslastaboutsixmonthsbeforeTCoccurrence.FurtheranalysisindicatesthattheoceanconditionsinfluenceTCtracksbymodifyingtheatmosphericcirculation,andthenthemodifiedatmosphericcirculationcanaffectTC’sgenesislocationandmotion.
