ThisstudyexaminestheeffectsofcumulusparameterizationsandmicrophysicsschemesonthetrackforecastoftyphoonNabiusingtheWeatherResearchForecastmodel.ThestudyfoundthattheeffectsofcumulusparameterizationsontyphoontrackforecastwerecomparativelystrongandthetyphoontrackforecastofKain-Fritsch(KF)wassuperiortothatofBetts-Miller(BM).WhenKFwasselected,thesimulatedresultswouldbeimprovedifmicrophysicsschemeswereselectedthanotherwise.TheresultsfromFerrier,WSM6,andLinwereveryclosetothoseinthebesttrack.KFperformedwellwiththesimulationsofthewesternextensionandeasterncontractionchangesofaNorthPacifichighaswellasthedistributionandstrengthofthetyphoonwindfield.
