    摘要 TheembeddedboundarymethodforsolvingellipticandparabolicproblemsingeometricallycomplexdomainsusingCartesianmeshesbyJohansenandColella(1998,J.Comput.Phys.147,60)hasbeenextendedforellipticandparabolicproblemswithinteriorboundariesorinterfacesofdiscontinuitiesofmaterialpropertiesorsolutions.Secondorderaccuracyisachievedinspaceandtimeforbothstationaryandmovinginterfaceproblems.Themethodisconservativeforellipticandparabolicproblemswithfixedinterfaces.Basedonthismethod,afronttrackingalgorithmfortheStefanproblemhasbeendeveloped.Theaccuracyofthemethodismeasuredthroughcomparisonwithexactsolutiontoatwo-dimensionalStefanproblem.Thealgorithmhasbeenusedforthestudyofmeltingandsolidificationproblems.
