摘要 ThegreatMs8.0Wenchuanearthquakehasbeenthemostdestructiveearthquakesince1949inChina.TheearthquakeoccurrednomorethanhalfayearaftertheestablishmentoftheNationalStrongMotionObservationNetworkSystem(NSMONS)ofChina;whatismore,theepicenterwaslocatedintheareawithdensestrongmotionobservationstationssothatalargenumberofstrongmotionrecordsofthemainshockwereobtained.Inthispaper,501strongmotionrecordsfrom167observationstationsareutilizedtoestablishthegroundmotionattenuationrelationsinthreedirectionsintherangeoffaultdistancelessthan600km.Theresultshowsthedifferenceofseismicmotionattenuationintwohorizontaldirectionsisinsignificant.Itisthefirsttimethatstrong-motionrecordsareusedtoestablishthegroundmotionattenuationrelationsoftheMS8.0earthquakeinChina.
