Factors influencing the formation of chlorination brominated trihalomethanes in drinking water

    摘要 Theformationofbrominatedtrihalomethanes(THMs-Br)whichisprovedmorecarcinogenicthantheirchlorinatedanaloguesreportedwasverydifferentatvariouswaterqualities.Thisstudywasperformedtoassesstheeffectsofwaterqualityparameters(bromideconcentration,pHvalueandammoniaconcentration),chlorinationconditions(chlorinedose,reactiontime)andratiosofBr-/DOCandBr-/Cl2consumptionontheformationanddistributionofTHMs-Brinchlorination.Theresultsshowedgoodcorrelationbetweenthebromineincorporationfactor(BIF)n(Br)andBr-/Cl2consumptionratio.TheformationoftotalTHM(TTHM)wasfoundtodecreasewithincreasingammoniaconcentrationbuttoincreasewithbromideconcentrationandpHvalue.Then(Br)trendsweresignificantlyaffectedbythepresenceofbromideconcentration.TheeffectsonthemolaryieldsofTHMsweremorestronglyinfluencedbybromideconcentrationanddissolvedorganiccarbon(DOC)concentrationthanpHvalueandnaturalorganicmatter(NOM)source.HighBr-/DOCandBr-/Cl2favortheformationofTHMs-BroverchlorinatedTHMs(THMs-Cl).Theexperimentaldataincludingthemainparameterssuchasbromide,DOC,ammonia,pHandreactiontimewereusedfordevelopingthepredictivemodelforTHMs-Br.
