摘要 Thearticlepresentsthatinthehydropowerplanning,theregulationcapacityofreservoirsshouldbemeasuredbytheirenergystoragecapacity.BycalculatingtheenergystoragecapacityofthelargereservoirsinChinaandabroad,itshowsthattheenergystoragecapacityoftheLongyangxiaReser-voirontheupperYellowRiverisoneofthelargest.EnormousbenefitcanbeobtainedthroughcompensationregulationofthecascadehydropowerprojectsontheupperYellowRiverandthenearbyinterbasinhydropowerprojectsbytheaidoftheenergystoragecapacityoftheLongyangxiaReservoir.
