摘要
Carbon,nitrogen,phosphorus,siliconcompositionofculturedtwodifferentsizedphytoplanktoncommonspeciesofThalassiosirarotulaandSkeletonemacostatumfromtheJiaozhouBayweremeasured.Carbon,nitrogen,phosphorus,siliconcontentsincellwereobvioushigherinT.rotulathaninS.costatum,butthepercentsofnitrogen,phosphorus,siliconcontentsincelldrymassinT.rotulawerelowerthanthoseinS.costatum.Thedrymassconcentrationsofnitrogen,phosphorus,siliconinS.costatumweremuchhigherthanthoseinT.rotula,particularlysilicon,theformerwas6.4timesofthelatter,showingthatS.costatumcouldmoreassimilatetheseelements.Especially,S.costatumhadcompetitivedominanceforassimilatingsilicon,whichisbeneficialtoitsbecomingamajordominantspeciesinrelativeshortsiliconoftheJiaozhouBay.Thereweresomedifferencesinnumericalvalueofnutrientratiosbothlaboratory-culturedphytoplanktonanddifferentsizedsuspendedparticulates(mainlyphytoplankton)intheJiaozhouBay,whichwascausedbythechangesofenvironment.Highcontentsofcarbon,nitrogonandrelativelowphosporus,silicon,highmolarratioofnitrogentophosphorus(farhigherthanRedfieldvalue)andlowratioofsilicontophosphorusandsilicontonitrogen(farlowerthanRedfieldvalues)inthetwodiatomsanddifferentsizedsuspendedparticulateswereconsistentwiththoseintheseawater.RelativeshortsiliconintheseawaterandphytoplanktonshowedthatsiliconwaspossiblyaffecttingphytoplanktongrowthintheJiaozhouBay.
