摘要
Thestabilityofriverbankssubjecttoseepageisstudiedexperimentallyandtheoreticallyinthispaper.Byincludingseepageina3-dimensionaltheoreticalanalysis,thestudyfirstshowshowthecriticalslopeorangleofreposeofacohesionlessmaterialisrelatedtotheratioofthehydraulicgradientofseepagetoitscriticalvalueunderthefluidizationcondition.Thecriticalstableslopeisshowntoberelatedtonotonlythehydraulicgradientbutalsotheseepagedirection.Measuredlaboratorydatareasonablyfitwellwiththetheoreticalrelationshipforthecaseofinjectionandsuction.Thedatarevealthattheslopeisreducedwithinjectionandincreasedwithsuction,respectively.Additionally,thestudyidentifiestheseepagedirectionwhichresultsinaminimumcriticalstableslopeforacertainhydraulicgradientofseepage.
