ThehydrodynamicandthesedimenttransportpatternswithintheestuaryoftheYangtzeRiverarecomplexbecauseofinteractionoffluvialandthetidalforces,dependingonfreshwaterdischargeandtidalrange.Basedonthedatameasuredinrecentyears,thispaperdiscussesthecharacteristicsofflowandsedimentmovementintheYangtzeRiverEstuaryandtheirinfluencesontheevolutionoftheestuary.
