摘要
ArangesurveydatabaseisestablishedandusedtostudythedepositionorerosionprocessesintheLowerYellowRiver(LYR).Thehugeamountofdataobtainedthroughrangesurveysovernearly50yearsismanagedbysoftware(RGTOOLS)developedforthisstudy.RGTOOLSisalsousedtoevaluatetheamountanddistributionofdepositionorerosioninLYR.Volumetricmethodisusedforcomputationoftheamountofdeposition.Spatialandtemporalvariationsofthedepositionarestudiedandillustratedwithdrawings.Itisfoundthatatotalof6.44billionm3ofsedimentweredepositedinthelowerYellowRiveroverapproximately50years.Thepatternofdepositionvariesinresponsetothevariationofoncomingflow,whichisinfluencedbynaturalclimaticvariationsandalsobyreservoiroperation.
