摘要
TheelectromagneticpropagationthroughaninhomogeneousmagnetizedplasmaslabisstudiedusingtheZ-transformformulationoftheFinite-DifferenceTime-Domain(FDTD)method.Thedirectionofelectromagneticpropagationisparalleltothebiasingmagneticfiled.TovalidatetheZ-transformalgorithm,thereflectionandtransmissioncoefficientsfortheright-handcircularlypolarizedwaveofthehomogeneousmagnetizedplasmaslabarecomputedbymeansofdiscreteFouriertransform.ThecomparisonbetweenthereflectionandtransmissioncoefficientsofthehomogeneousplasmaslabandanalyticalvaluesindicatesthatZ-transformalgorithmisveryaccurate.Whentheplasmafrequencyvariesaccordingtothesquarerootandparabolicrelations,thereflectionandtransmissioncoefficientsoftheinhomogeneousmagnetizedplasmaslabarecomputed.
