摘要
Coastallowlandshavelargeareasofhazardimpactandrelativelylowcapacityofpreventiontothewaterrelatedhazards,whichhavebeenindicatedbythewide-spreadfloodhazards,highpercentagesoflandwithhighfloodvulnerability.Increasingpopulationpressureandtheshiftofresourcesexploitationfromlandtoseawillforcemoreandmorecoastallowlandstobedevelopedinthefuture,furtherenhancingthedangerofwater-relatedhazards.Inthispaper,thecoastallowlandsinthenorthernJiangsuprovince,China,wereselectedasacasestudy.TheInterpretationStructuralModel(ISM)wasemployedtoanalyzethedirectandindirectimpactsamongtheelementswithinthesystem,andthereby,toidentifythecausalelements,middlelinkages,theirexpressions,andrelations.
