Overthepast20years,thelevelofpowerreliabilityinChinahasbeenraisedsubstantially.Averageequivalentavailabilityfactorof100-MW-classthermalpowerunitswentupfrom79.93%to91.70%intheperiodof1986-2004.Averageunplannedoutagetimesperunitcamedownfrom7.85to2.1.RSIofurbanusersrosefrom98.90%to99.82%intheperiodof1991-2004,correspondingtoadecreaseofaverageannualinterruptiondurationfrom96.55hoursto15.81hours.
