摘要
ThesedimentationofcircularparticlesinaverticalchannelfilledwithOldroyd-BfluidwasstudiedbyanimprovedDistributedLagrangeMultiplier/fictitiousdomain(DLM)method.Thesedimentingbehaviorsoftwoparticlesarepresentedfirstly,whichshowsthat,whentheparticlesaredroppedinaviscoealsticfluid,thestableconfigurationistheonewheretheparticlesarealignedparalleltotheflowdirectionwhentheMachnumberMislessthan1andtheelasticitynumberEisgreaterthan1.ThisagreeswellwiththeknownexperimentalinRef.[1]andsimulationresultsinRef.[2].Oursimulationsalsoshowthat,asinNewtonianfluid,thesedimentationoftheparticleswillbeacceleratedduetotheinteractionbetweenparticlesinaviscoealsticfluid.
