摘要
Anewmethodofshort-termforecastingforwaterconsumptioninmunicipalsupplywaternetworksbasedonwavelettransformationisintroduced.Bywaveletdecomposingcommonlyusedinthesignalfield,waterconsumptionperhourisdecomposedintomanyseries.Trenditem,cycleitemandrandomitemareseparatedfromtheoriginaltimeseriesinthisway.Thenbyanalyzing,buildingamodel,forecastingeveryseriesandcomposingtheresults,theforecastingvalueoftheoriginalconsumptionisreceived.Simulationresultsshowthatthisforecastingmethodisfasterandmoreaccurate,ofwhichtheerrorislessthan20%,indicatingthatthewaveletanalyticalmethodispracticable.
