摘要 Inthelightoffieldinvestigation,microscopicstudy,X-rayphaseanalysisandmineralinfraredspectralanalysis,itisconsideredthatlaumontitizationisofextensiveoccurrenceintheAxigoldorefield.Thedevelopmentoflaumontitizationanditsrelationshiptomineralizationshowthatthelaumontitizationappearedmainlyatthetopofandintheperipheryoforebodies,andoccurredattheedgeoftheepithermalsystemoratthelatestageofepithermalsystemevolution.Therefore,laumontitizationcanbeusedasanexplorationindicatorofepithermalgolddeposits.ThefluidsresponsibleforlaumontitizationintheAxigoldorefieldaresimilartothoseproducinghotspring-typegolddepositsorthosefrommoderngeothermalfields.EpithermalmineralizationoftheAxigolddepositwasdatedatCarboniferous,indicatingthattheWestTianshanofChinaisaregionfavorabletoepithermal-typegoldmineralizationandpreservation.HencetheWestTianshanofChinaisatargetareaforexploringepithermalgolddeposits.
