Wedemonstrateanovelhigh-accuracypost-fabricationtrimmingtechniquetofine-tunethephaseofintegratedMach–Zehnderinterferometers,enablingpermanentcorrectionoftypicalfabrication-basedphaseerrors.Theeffectiveindexchangeoftheopticalmodeis0.19inourmeasurement,whichisapproximatelyanorderofmagnitudeimprovementcomparedtopreviousworkwithsimilarexcessopticalloss.Ourmeasurementresultssuggestthataphaseaccuracyof0.078radwasachievablewithactivefeedbackcontrol.
