摘要
OptimalexploitationofhadronicfinalstatesplayedakeyroleinsuccessesofallrecenthadroncolliderexperimentinHEP,andtheabilitytousehadronicfinalstateswillcontinuetobeoneofthedecisiveissuesduringtheanalysisphaseoftheLHCexperinentsMonteCarloimplementationsofhadronicshowermodelsprovidedwithGEANT4facilitatetheuseofhadronicfinalstates,andhavebeendevelopedformanyyears.Wewillgiveanoverviewonthephysicsunderlyinghadronicshowersimulation,discussingthethreebasictypesofmodelling;datadriven,parametrisationdriven,andtheorydrivenmodelling,andtheirrespectiveimplementationstatusinGEANT4.Wewillconfrontthedifferenttypesofmodellingwithavalidationsuiteforhadronicgeneratorsbasedoncross-sectionsmeasurementsfromthintargetexperiments,andexposethestrengthandweaknessesoftheindividualapproaches.
