摘要
Acousticimpulsesproducedthroughthemechanismofthelaser-inducedbreakdowninwaterhavebeeninvestigatedintherangefrom0℃toroomtemperature.Differentlyfromtheacousticimpulsesproducedviathermalexpansion,thepolarityandtheamplitudeofacousticimpulseproducedvialiquidbreakdownmechanismdonotchangewithwatertemper-ature.Thisindirectlyprovesthattheproductionofacousticimpulseisduetotheexpansionofthecavityitselfwhichincludesplasma.Asemiempiricaldescriptionofthisphenomenonisgiveninthispaper.
