TheRatnagotravibhāga(abbr.RGV)wasverylikelycomposedsometimearoundthe4thor5thcenturyinIndia.ButtracesoftheRGVfellintoobscurityafterthelate6thcentury,andagainbegintoappearaftertheearly11thcentury.Toclarifythetext'sresurrectionaftertheearly11thcentury,IhavestudiedtheearliestmastersofthisperiodwhoquotetheRGV,namelyMaitrīpa(1007/1010-?),Jfāna(s)rīmitra(ca.980-1040)andRatnākara~ānti(late10thtoearly11thcentury).
