摘要
ThestimulatedBrillouinscattering(SBS)thresholdenhancementfactorinapurewhitenoiselinewidthbroadeningYb-dopedfiberamplifier(YDFA)withashortlargemodeareafiberistheoreticallyandexperimentallystudied.Wedemonstratea1064.08nm,11.6GHzlinewidth,1.5kWoutputpowerYDFAwithanSBSthresholdenhancementof~57(26WSBSthresholdwithsinglefrequencyseed).Theoutputbeamisnear-diffractionlimitedwithabeamqualityfactorofM~2=1.15andaslopeefficiencyofupto87%.NoSBSorstimulatedRamanscatteringeffectsareobservedinthewholepowerrange.Furtherpowerscalingislimitedbytheavailablepumppowerinoursystem.
