Numerical simulation of self-similar thermal convection from a spinning cone in anisotropic porous medium

    摘要 Self-similarsteadynaturalconvectionthermalboundarylayerflowfromarotatingverticalconetoanisotropicDarcianporousmediumisinvestigatedtheoreticallyandnumerically.Thetransformednon-dimensionaltwo-pointboundaryvalueproblemisreducedtoasystemofcoupled,highlynonlinearordinarydifferentialequations,whicharesolvedsubjecttorobustsurfaceandfreestreamboundaryconditionswiththeMAPLE17numericalquadraturesoftware.Validationwithearliernon-rotatingstudiesisincluded,andalsofurtherverificationofrotatingsolutionsisachievedwithavariationalfiniteelementmethod(FEM).Therotational(spin)parameteremergesasaninversefunctionoftheGrashofnumber.Theinfluenceofthisparameter,primaryDarcynumber,secondaryDarcynumberandPrandtlnumberontangentialvelocityandswirlvelocity,temperatureandheattransferratearestudiedindetail.ItisfoundthatthedimensionlesstangentialvelocityincreaseswhilstthedimensionlessswirlvelocityandtemperaturedecreasewiththeswirlDarcynumber,tangentialDarcynumberandtherotationalparameters.Themodelfindsapplicationsinchemicalengineeringfiltrationprocessing,liquidcoatingandspinningconedistillationcolumns.
