摘要 <正> Althoughlargeamountsofdatahavebeencollectedduringthepast30yearsinthestudyoftheformation,evolutionanddynamicsoftheTethysSeabytheuseofthetheoryofplatetectonics,alargevolumeofgeologicalandgeophysicalinformationhasalsobeenaccumulatedwhichcannotbeexplainedbytheplatetectonichypothesis.Forexample,theQinghaiXizangPlateauisunderiainbymanythousandsofmetersofOrdovicianthroughEocene,gently-dipping,essentiallyundefoumed,stableplatformsequences.Stratigraphicandtectonicinvestigationsrevealthattheplateau-wideeast-westfracturezones,interpretedas"sutures"
