IntroductionInrecentyears,moreandmoreobjectionshavebeenraisedagainstthetraditionalEnglishteachingmethodinChinaandEnglishteachershavebeguntotryoutamorecommunicativemethodology.Inthisarticle,Iintendtopointoutthedisadvantagesofthetraditionalteachingmethodandintroduceonewaytoteachstudentseffectively-usinggamesintheEnglishclass,whichisoneusefultechniqueofthecommunicativemethod.Iproposetotalkabouttheimportanceofusinggamesandlisteighttypesofgamestopractisestudents’speakingandlistening.Finally,IwillputforwardsomeconsiderationonusinggamesandstatethesuccessofusinggamesbasedonaquestionnairegiventothestudentsIhavetaught.
