Thediaphragmofsteamturbineisoneofthemainpartsofthepassageunitforairflowingandthediaphragmofsteamturbineisgenerallymadebywelding,butduringthecourseofwelding,somecracksoftenhavehappened,thesecracksthreatensafetyproductiononthespot,soitisnecessarytoanalyzethestrengthofsteamturbinediaphragmwithacrack.Forstudyingitsworkingconditionandperformancewithacrack,thethree-dimensionalfiniteelementmodel(FEM)withthesoftwareANSYS10.0isestablishedaccordingtotheactualworkingparameters.Withthemodel,thedeformationresultsandstressfieldresultsareanalyzedandthemaximumdisplacementandstressvaluearecalculated,meanwhile,themaximumstresschangewithcrackdepthofsteamturbinediaphragmisanalyzed.Itprovidesagoodfoundationforsolvingtheprobleminproduction.
