Theforcesensingresistor(FSR)anditsconstructionandcharacteristicaredescribed.Byusingtheoptimalelectronicinterface,theendresultwhichisadirectproportionalitybetweenforceandvoltageisobtained.Thecircuitsofapplicationforforceandpositionmeasurementsintheroboticcontrolaregiven.TheexperimentthatFSRsareplacedonthefingersofBH-1dexteroushandastactilesensorstomeasurethecontactingforcesshowsFSR'sforcesensitivityisoptimizedforuseinthecontrolofrobotcontactingwithenvironment.
