摘要
Theincreaseinneurotrophicfactorsaftercraniocerebralinjuryhasbeenshowntopromotefracturehealing.Moreover,neurotrophicfactorsplayakeyroleintheregenerationandrepairofperipheralnerve.However,whethercraniocerebralinjuryalterstherepairofperipheralnerveinjuriesremainspoorlyunderstood.Ratinjurymodelswereestablishedbytransectingtheleftsciaticnerveandusingafree-falldevicetoinducecraniocerebralinjury.Comparedwithsciaticnerveinjuryaloneafter6–12weeks,ratswithcombinedsciaticandcraniocerebralinjuriesshoweddecreasedsciaticfunctionalindex,increasedrecoveryofgastrocnemiusmusclewetweight,recoveryofsciaticnervegangliaandcorrespondingspinalcordsegmentneuronmorphologies,andincreasednumbersofhorseradishperoxidase-labeledcells.Theseresultsindicatethatcraniocerebralinjurypromotestherepairofperipheralnerveinjury.
