Inthisstudy,wenumericallyinvestigatedthenonlinearfocusedwavegroupactiononatruncatedsurface-piercingstructure,anddevelopedatwo-dimensionalfullynonlinearnumericaltankusingthehigher-orderboundaryelementmethod.WedeterminedtheamplitudeofthewavecomponentsofthefocusedwavegroupbasedontheJONSWAPwavespectrum.Wediscusstheeffectsofthepresenceofasurface-piercingstructureonthecharacteristicsofthefocusedwavegroupandfindthatthelocationofthestructuredoesnotevidentlychangethefocallocationorfocaltimeofthefocusedwavegroup.Thelargestamplitudesoftherun-upandhorizontalforceonthestructureoccurwhenthefrontsurfaceofthestructureisatthefocallocation.Thecriticaldraughtandbreadthofthestructureoccurwhenthewaverun-upreachesitsmaximumalongthestructure.
