Compact waveguide bandpass filter employing two-dimensional metallic photonic crystals for millimeter to terahertz frequencies

    摘要 Two-dimensionalmetallicphotoniccrystalslabswithsquarelatticeareproposedtobeusedforthedesignofwaveguidebandpassfiltersoperatinginmillimetertoterahertzregion.Filtercharacteristicsarestudiedwhenrodradiiandlatticeconstantsarechanged.Basedonthefrequencyscalingtechnique,aseriesofhigherfrequencyfiltershasbeendesigned.Byusinglaserdrillingandweldingprocessingtechniques,acompactwaveguidefilterembeddedinanEIA-WR10waveguidewithcentralfrequency145.5GHzand3-dBbandwidthof5.26GHzisfabricatedandmeasured.Themeasurementdataagreewellwiththesimulationprediction.
