摘要
Regulatingserotoninexpressioncanbeusedtotreatpsychoticdepression.Mifepristone,aglucocorticoidreceptorantagonist,isaneffectivecandidateforpsychoticdepressiontreatment.However,theunderlyingmechanismrelatedtoserotonintransporterexpressionispoorlyunderstood.Inthisstudy,weclonedthehumanbrainserotonintransporterintoXenopusoocytes,toestablishaninvitroexpressionsystem.Two-electrodevoltageclamprecordingswereusedtodetectserotonintransporteractivity.Ourresultsshowthatmifepristoneattenuatesserotonintransporteractivitybydirectlyinhibitingtheserotonintransporter,andsuggeststhattheserotonintransporterisapharmacologicaltargetofmifepristoneforthetreatmentofpsychoticdepression.
