Quantitative volumetric analysis of the optic radiation in the normal human brain using diffusion tensor magnetic resonance imaging-based tractography

    摘要 Toattainthevolumetricinformationoftheopticradiationinnormalhumanbrains,weperformeddiffusiontensorimagingexaminationin13healthyvolunteers.Simultaneously,weusedabrainnormalizationmethodtoreduceindividualbrainvariationandincreasetheaccuracyofvolumetricinformationanalysis.Inaddition,tractography-basedgroupmappingmethodwasalsousedtoinvestigatetheprobabilityanddistributionoftheopticradiationpathways.Ourresultsshowedthatthemeasuredopticradiationfibertractvolumewasarangeofabout0.16%andthatthefractionalanisotropyvaluewasabout0.53.Moreover,theopticradiationprobabilityfiberpathwaythatwasdeterminedwithdiffusiontensortractography-basedgroupmappingwasabletodetectthelocationrelativelyaccurately.Webelievethatourmethodsandresultsarehelpfulinthestudyofopticradiationfibertractinformation.
