Wetheoreticallyandexperimentallystudyself-acceleratingandself-breathingBessel-likebeamsthatfollowarbitrarytrajectories,includinghyperbolic,hyperbolicsecant,andthree-dimensional(3D)spiralingtrajectories.ThebeamshaveanoverallBessel-likeprofileintransversedimensions;however,theintensityoftheircentralmainlobebreatheswhiletravelingalongacurvedtrajectory.Suchbeamscanbereadilygeneratedexperimentallythroughappropriatephasemodulationoftheopticalwavefront.Thebeamscontributetothedesignofnewfamiliesofself-acceleratingbeams.
