摘要
Indentationisasimpleandnondestructivemethodtomeasurethemechanicalpropertiesofsoftmaterials,suchashydrogels,elastomersandsofttissues.Inthiswork,wehavedevelopedamicro-indentationsystemwithhigh-precisiontomeasurethemechanicalpropertiesofsoftmaterials,wheretheshearmodulusandPoisson’sratioofthematerialscanbeobtainedbyanalyzingtheload–relaxationcurve.Wehavevalidatedtheaccuracyandstabilityofthesystembycomparingthemeasuredmechanicalpropertiesofapolyethyleneglycolsamplewiththatobtainedfromacommercialinstrument.Themechanicalpropertiesofanothertypicalpolydimethylsiloxanesamplesubmergedinheptanearemeasuredbyusingconicalandsphericalindenters,respectively.ThemeasuredvaluesofshearmodulusandPoisson’sratioarewithinareasonablerange.
