InCAD/CAM,meshratherthansmoothsurfaceisonlyneededsometimes.Amesh-generatingmethodfrompermanenceprincipleofCoonspatchisdeveloped.Anewmeshpointisdefinedthroughlocalsmallsubpatchandallmeshpointsarecomputedbyalinearsystemwithspecialsymmetricblocktridiagonalcoefficientmatrix.Bysimplification,thedeterminantofcoefficientmatrixisdeterminedbydeterminantsofsubmatrices.Conditionofexistenceofsolutionisgiven.Whethercoefficientmatrixissingularcanbejudgedbyasimplepolynomialfunctionwiththeeigenvalueofsubmatrixasvariable.Numericalexamplesdemonstratetheeffectsofshapeparameters.
