摘要
UHMWPEcompositesreinforcedwithBovineBoneHydroxyapatite(BHA)indifferentcontentswerepreparedbyheatpressingformationmethod.AhipjointwearsimulatorwasusedtoinvestigatethebiotribologicalbehaviorofUHMWPE/BHAcompositeacetabularcupsagainstCoCrMoalloyfemoralheadsinbovinesynovialubricationat37±1℃.ItwasfoundthattheadditionofBHApowdertoUHMWPEcanimprovethehardnessandcreepmodulusofUHMWPE/BHAcomposites,anddecreasetheirwearratesunderbovinesynovialubrication.WhenthecontentofBHAfillerparticleswasupto30wt%,UHMWPE/BHAcompositesdemonstratedthewelldesignperformancesofthesurfaceandbiotribologicalproperties.Fatigue,ploughingandslightadhesivewearwerethemainwearmechanismsforUHMWPEanditscomposites.Inaddition,thesizesofwearparticlesbecamelargerwithanincreaseinBHApowderaddition.TheseresultssuggestthatBHAfillerisadesirablecomponenttoincreasethewearresistanceofUHMWPE/BHAcompositesforbiomedicalapplications.
