Synthesis of Pt/C Electrocatalysts Under Protection of Glucose and Their Improved Methanol Electrooxidation Activity

    摘要 CarbonsupportedPt(Pt/C)electrocatalystswerepreparedwithglucoseasprotectionagentandNaBH4asreductant.ThePtnanoparticlesdepositedoncarbonsupportpresentedreducedsizeandwelldispersityattributedtotheprotectioneffectofglucose.GlucoseabsorbedontheparticlesurfacewasreadilyremovedbywaterwashingwithoutleadingtoagglomerationofthePtnanoparticles.Theas-preparedPt/Celectrocatalystsshowedimprovedmassactivityformethanolelectrooxidationcomparedtothecatalystpreparedwithoutglucoseprotection.TheimprovedperformanceisattributedtothelargerelectrochemicalactivesurfaceareathusincreasedactivesitesonthePt/Celctrocatalystspreparedundertheprotectionofglucose.
