摘要 ConstantloadtestsinNS4solutionpurgedwithN2-5%CO2gasmixturewereconductedonAmericanPetroleumInstitute(API)X80pipelinesteelappliedinthe2ndWest-EastGasPipelineprojectwithandwithoutpreload.TheresultsshowthatcrackscouldinitiateandpropagateinX80pipelinesteelinnear-neutralpHenvironmentunderaconstantloadcondition.Thelifeofcrackinitiationandpropagationincreasedwithdecreasingappliedstress.Preloaddidnotchangeitscorrosionbehaviorobviously.However,preloadreducedthetimeforcrackinitiation.
