摘要 WepartitiontheobservedwindfieldintorotationalanddivergentwindfieldstoanalyzethestreamfieldofTy-phoonPolly(No.9216),whichlandedon31August1992andcausedsevereweatherandlargedamageintheeasternChina.Theresultsindicatethatthepreservationoftyphoonintensityafterlandingandtheheavyrainfalltookplaceonthenorthernperipheryoftyphoonareduetothestrongdivergentwindsontheregionsoflowleveljet(LLJ)andhighleveljet(HLJ)aroundthetyphoon.ThedirectionofdivergentwindsintheLLJisperpendiculartotheobservedwind.But,thedirectionofdivergentwindsaroundtheHLJaxisisparalleltotheobservedwinds.Thestreamfunctionandtherotationalwindcorrespondingtothehorizontalvorticitydisplaytheverticalcirculationassociatedwiththeheavyrain,whichisstrongerthantheverticalcirculationaroundthetyphooncenter.Thethree-dimensionaltrajectoriesexhibitthewarmandmoistairparcelsofLLJtravelingnorthwardintotheheavyrainfallregionandascending,thenturningeastwardintheHLJ.
